The course, which was pretty technical, might not have best pleased the more conservative cyclocrossers, but as a mountain biker I found it to be the best one I have done so far.
There were a few challenging climbs and a little mud made it even trickier in parts, and loud support from fellow ACCers marshalling in many spots of the course, those who were at the start HQ had a great vantage point on a good part of the lap. Cheers to them all.
The tanks of free energy drink was a great idea, I certainly was thankful as I ran out of drink with two laps to go and had my bottle refilled on the go. John's photos are now posted on londoncyclesport.com.
Next round for me is the 31st at Dear Leap Park. I have been in touch with a French guy who is in the country for a few weeks and races cx regionally, he hopes to make that round and hopefully could give the usual top riders a run for their money ...
