Cycle to work Scheme (at last!!) means I can choose a new helmet, but which one?

Giro Ionus

Met stradivarius

Specialised S-Works 2D

They all seem much the same weight wise and vents etc. The Specialized seemed particularly prevalent in the bunch yesterday.

Any help please

Thanks Sean, I have to choose one that the chosen company supply and that's the choice, apart from Bell which I discounted.

Get the one that fits your head the best.

I bought a Specialized (not sure of model but looks the same as the 2D etc) but found that it didn't fit me particularly well so I never really got on with it. It's been left in a corner to gather dust after only a few outings.

Now have a Giro (Pneumo) and it fits like a glove, very comfy.

Result = My head is Giro shaped not Specialized.

Try them all on properly adjusted and you might get your answer very quickly, or at least be able to discount one very quickly.

Have had the Met Strad since I started riding again. (4 years?)
I know, I should have replaced it, but it is still fantastic.

Paul the 2d is (way) lighter than anything else. Fit is great, don't regret buying mine. No more sweat in the eyes too thanks to the way the forehead pad is held.

Different helmets do tend to completely change the way your face looks, has anyone else noticed

So summing up the vast knowledge of ACC, any of the 3 I've chosen are no better than the others, but some fit better, so it's off to GB's on the way home

I am one my second Ionos... and i crash tested the first one, the foam broke but the carbon fibre weavey stuff held it together.

Its a comfortable and cool helmet, in ACC colours, and comes with 2 or 3 sets of inserts and a bug net!!!

And if you smash it up they will replace it for only £60!

Ionos all day long.

or... maybe the fact i have one is a good reason to not get it... at the time i just bought it cos it matched the ACC jersey!!
