Recommendations for overshoes?

I'm looking for some lightweight waterproof & windproof overshoes (for SPD pedals/shoes)...

I'll use them initially for my epic journey to Germany and would like them keep my feet dry enough to allow me to cycle in relative comfort through any extended periods of bad weather. I don't need them to be warm as if it gets cold I'll wear thicker socks.

If I get on with them and the performance-to-inconvenience ratio is good enough I'll probably start using them on my commute as it gets annoying having to dry shoes all the time during our "summer".

Any recommendations?

Pro Tarmac H2O Road Shoe Overshoe.

Brilliant. Not to bulky either to carry when not in use. Just what your looking for.

I wore mine all through last winter and never had cold feet once and they do a damn fine job of keeping the water out too.

oh and can get them for about 21 notes if you shop about. I need to replace mine as I tore them when I fell off so will be buying another pair.

Another vote for the PRO ones. I have the previous versions (which are a bit bulkier but still not bulky if that makes sense) and they've lasted really well. Not 100% waterproof but then none will be (holes in the bottom ain't there ), but do keep the water out for a fair ol' while. Also have a light fleecy lining so more importantly keep your feet warm once the water has got through.

Got some Pro SpringRoad for £3 in GB's bargain bucket - more lightweight but very good still.

No it's a Specialized Barmac. I know who own/make Pro Sylv, so long as they don't do groupsets we're safe .

If you're travelling light on your German tour then don't bother taking overshoes. If it gets wet just get some plastic bags and gaffer tape.

I tried on the Pro Tarmac shoes in Condor the other day and they felt pretty good

I nearly bought them and reckon I probably will but just want to try out the Assos equivalents first (which a fellow commuter at work rates highly)

While I'm here does anyone have any recommendations for arm warmers and leg warmers?

I don't have any legwarmers but my Campagnolo knee warmers are very good. Northwave "knitted" armwarners are good too for intermediate weather.
