When it says "stop using immediately" - how do you get home form work?

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]Result. Mine were made in 2005, new axles here we come ;-).

If they don't replace the bearings, that's not so much of a "result". Maybe you can ask for a ti upgrade at a premium.

Will check mine tonight - if they are concerned, I am walking out of the 12h :mrgreen:

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]Axles as a whole will be replaced free of charge.

Yeah what I meant was, if it's only for the sake of an axle replacement (it doesn't mention bearings), I'd rather my pedals are not the ones that are recalled.

I knew there would have been a good reason to splash out on the ti at the time I bought mine ...

Mr. Smug here who when the Keos came out decided to upgrade all his pedals to the top of the range of the previous Delta versions - All lovely pedals that work beautifully and being sold off dirt cheap :D .

Right, now you all hate me I may be able to assist, particularly you Sean so you don't miss any rides you want to do. I have one or two pairs of spare Look pedals and Delta cleats that you can borrow until you get your pedals back. I'm not sure how many I've got, certainly one possibly two pairs and more than enough spare cleats. They may be the basic pedals but work perfectly and the cleats are new, all I require is that I get the pedals and the cleats(with bolts etc) back when you get your pedals back. First come first served so PM me if you want them.

Sylv, If you're worried and want some for the 12 then you can borrow the nice Look 5.1 pedals off my fixed and fit the cleats on your shoes tomorrow lunchtime.

So when you all dive out and buy the next new thing remember, it pays to be retro :wink:

Thanks Andrew, I'm not worried. Have ridden them for over a year and the fail rate is 0.035%, if I hadn't read the recall I'd be none the wiser. Remember I still ride the same cranks on my singlespeed which one left side snapped in two.

I will try thinking of it though it will help me pedalling smooooth circles.

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]I might need a pedal wrench though ;-)

Another reason I avoided the Keos is they made a retrograde design step by removing the flats so you can't use a pedal spanner to remove/fit them and have to ponce about with an allen key.

I had a pair of Sprints that would have been manufactured within this period. The bearings disintegrated within about 9 month and were replaced under warranty. Fortunately the replacements were made in '07. Best go & check Michelle's as well......

Those using Time pedals had better watch out too.
