I just saw the results at last week's Eastway race. Well done on coming 12th Sylvain. Sorry I couldn't make it - by the time I'd finished the running race and had a rub down as well as the usual chit chat with various folks it was too late for me to get to Eastway in time for the start.

I'm not in London this w/e so can't do or help out at PORC.
Won't do any cyclo x now until after the Ballbuster.

FYI this Sunday the cyclo-cross is at Eastway (2pm) which is one of the best and closest venues, and also a new club cx trophy is up for grabs for the best result at this round only. Last weekend Aodan, Chris and myself had good fun at Deer Leap Park, and Paul was commissioning.

Maria, if you read this in time, I'm sure you'll enjoy this more than the Gorrick, and you have a good chance of snatching the trophy too as there are not many women racing compared to the men's category. I can't guarantee good weather but at least it will be short & fast!

I'll be riding there Rob (not that i have a car anyway). Aodan might be driving, best to leave a contact number in case he reads this late. Anyway a ride from Mitcham would be the perfect warmup! (if it's not raining ...).

i didn't fare so well this week, too many road sections, not enough leg power. need to do some weights this winter ..

cyclocross again http://www.londonxleague.co.uk/dates.html

should suit you as it must have even more road sections than Eastway.

This ballbuster stuff has taken up alot of my time and when I'm not training I'm too tired to do anything else !!

Sorry I couldn't make Eastway last week. Hillingdon is the day after the Ballbuster so will be too cooked to do any racing on Sunday.

I did the Hillingdon cross race last year and found it not that technical, apart from a steep brambly decent that takes a sharp left at the bottom (which made me somer sault over the handlebars). There's probably the same amount of road section as at Eastway. Although the course is not technical I found it hard because they'd added on extra sand and gravelly bits to the grassy sections which made the ride very bumpy and bone-shakery. Enjoy !
