Sean yes it's worth paying extra for the conti's I would recommend going for the 4 seasons and I can quite easily guarantee you will not puncture them in a years worth of riding if you keep them above 80psi

That's quite serious punctureage.

After my last spate, I ordered some 4 Seasons. What arrived, however, were Gator Skins - I kept them as I needed them straight away. So far, though, they've proved to be more Wally Gator - I've had about one puncture a week

Ordered mine from Ribble Cycles. They're generally pretty good all round. When I rang to say they'd sent me the wrong ones, the guy said, 'Idiots!!!'

I think they worked out about £23 each for the 4 Seasons. Having sent me the Wally Gators instead, they refunded me a tenner.

4Seasons for winter/commuting.
4000S for summer/racing - although good for all year round but will wear a bit quickly used daily on a commute.

Others I've used/use that I like:
Panaracer Extreme Duro (25mm) for winter/commuting - from Pearson's.
Michelin Pro3Race for summer/racing

Conti 4 seasons are b*#%**y brilliant!!! Sam and I have been riding them all winter and what with the weather we've been having all summer too. We have had TWO punctures in total between us!!!! - both snake bites due to hitting potholes hard. Money well spent. As my mate says: buy cheap, buy twice.

4 seasons are the best tyres ever made! I run them in summer too (although I guess these days that is 4 seasons in 1 ).

I think I got my last ones from Wiggle as a pair and they came with 2 inner tubes, and once a 10% discount had been included (can't remember why I got the discount), they worked out cheaper than all other deals.

Pants - Check!
Shoes - In desk drawer - Check!
Trousers - Hanging up in wardrobe at home

Leave a suit and some ties at work and just bring in clean shirts and undies, makes life much easier. The jacket hardly gets worn and just need to get the trousers dry cleaned when they start walking on their own .
