Brilliant Marco, I had the same dream too. A country built upon equality and wellbeing not on GDP and consumption (shop until we drop). If you have the time read a copy of "Affluenza" by Oliver James and see why the US and the UK and most developed nations except Denmark and Spain have got the virus.

I can't believe the number of cyclists in the Netherlands...

I'm in Gronigen at the moment. Cars aren't allowed in the city centre, and bikes roam free. And there are millions of them - far more than any other Dutch city I've been in this week :shock:

Crossing the road is actually quite difficult, and it feels really odd having to look out for bike before you take a step in any direction. :D

They don't quite match Copenhagen on the style stakes, but it's not bad. I'll see if I can get some photos :wink:

there were a few sights to rival copenhagen but didnät get anz snaps for fear of being thrown out of the town :D

groningen is a reallz cool place - would definitelz recommend it :)
