Yeah, obviously I'm not riding the actual TOB you muppet. But I will be warming up Whitehall's tarmac for them.

And remember, you owe me a VIP pass... 8)

Well you might get in

That loser Cavendish has snubbed us for the yanks - obviously didn't want to show his face on home soil after failing in Beijing :D

Anyone got any good* suggestions for an ACC spectating point on the circuit on Sunday?

*Definition of "good": At a pub with a view of the race.

As well as the usual Whitehall circuit they're going up and down the Embankment each lap. They go up to the Tower of London and turn at Tower Hill (don't know where the map just has a big circle as though the Arc de Triomphe is there). Amusingly there is 3 KOM on offer at Tower Hill  .

Apart from the main loop there could be a better spot (less crowded so easier to see from the pub) along the leg bit. My work local is the Hung Drawn & Quartered by the Tower (end of Great Tower Street) so an option? 10-15 mins walk from London Bridge station.

6am breakfast # 1
8.13am SCCU 25 start
9.30 (approx) tea, cake, post-mortem
11.00 shower, breakfast #2
1pm meet Agreeables at Ferret & Trousers

All weather permitting, apart from breakfasts #1 and #2.

The Hung Drawn & Quartered (Mr  's suggestion) is right by the KoM spot. It's on my commute, and even I take it in the big ring with full panniers. It should be a laugh watching the sprinters do battle for the polka dot jersey.

I may bring Ingram Junior along, so no swearing!

Im in Devon at the momemt and will be heading off to the moors to watch the KOM bit of stage three.I'm going to ride the climb tommorrow and it looks like a brute. In fact I've devised a rather fiendish route that does the climb and last years one at Porlock as well and to finish off there's a cheeky little 25 percenter, its horrilble, that takes you out of Woolacombe on the way home. I'll take my camera so expect some blurry out of focus pics of some blokes riding up a hill.

A similar line up to me but I have a later start.
Where's the Ferret & Trousers?

I only suggested the HDQ on the basis no-one else was saying anywhere, and I don't know how they have the nerve to call it a KOM.

So HDQ is RHQ, OK

Likewise weather dependant - if it's peeing down I may stay away, if I go - I will bring my usual eatable fare for some mid race snackery
