If you use a turbo (AKA loathsome pile of pig iron) to train, and either road race or want to try some crit racing, then this could be for you It's a freebie
I bought it ages ago in a moment of stupidity when I thought that:
a) I would actually use a turbo rather than banish it after five minutes to the dark recesses of the garage and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
b) I thought I might actually do some training.
Click on the link below to see all the full details but in short it's a training DVD with Robbie Ventura (ex-US Postal) where he is competing in an elite national (US) crit with a camera on his bike.
The DVD covers a full warmup before and then basically you race with Robbie. There are a variety of camera angles but you are pretty much riding on his handlebars nearly all the time. There is also a choice of commentary from him during the race talking through what he's doing etc, but the better one is one he put on afterwards where he can give you more info with the benefit of hindsight.
I did watch it (actually used it once) and the way it is set up is superb with a "dashboard" at the bottom of the screen giving you all the details to ride to and a stopwatch. You can use HR or Power I think or simply a 1-10 grade (which I did) with 10 being all out maximum effort and the clock counts down how long you have left at that level with Robbie helping out with the odd assistance of what's coming up next. It's very easy to follow and keeps you on your toes as you have to keep reacting, and swearing when it jumps to 9 and you were praying for a 6 or 7. Obviously if you use it enough you'll get to know what comes next, but initially you have no idea what level you'll have to jump to next and for how long.
It is available as a freebie to whoever wants it and will use it. I don't want it to just go to sit in someone elses draw when someone else would use it. If you don't like it then stick it back up on the forum.
