Ferret & Trousers = any half-decent pub serving hand-pulled brown beer from finest oak casks. Even that definition has to be a bit flexible these days.

I'll head to the HDQ as it's fairly handy for me. They serve London Pride and at least one other proper beer. I don't know for definite that it's open but would be very surprised if it isn't. There is also the Walrus and Carpenter within spitting distance (at the base of the "KOM"), and then the Liberty Bounds a bit further down the road. The Liberty might be past the turn though, it's also uber touristy (Tower of London Americans wanting an English beer and fish n' chips) and foody to the point where it's actually tricky to get to the bar with all the tables in the way  . They do have a good choice of beers though.

I doubt it'll be open (as it's off the circuit) but possibility for post race is the Ship which does nice beers, mind you they had one in there the other week called Ginger Tosser!

What a priceless post Marky Mark, especially the bit on the big screen at the end. Been laughing my way through my lunch hour. Excellent. Well done, keep up your penchant for big pics, I love 'em.

I'm glad you liked it, I like to make people chuckle. Makes me happy too. Can you imagine if I had found that big screen sooner. It would of made ITV for sure  , If only's hey?

There will always be a next time (beware of Marky Mark). I still have a big smile on my face from yesterday. :D

 Well done Sir, hadn't realised you looked so funny when you were fliting about infront of the TV camera.

I only thought of it on the way home but we should have grabbed your gilet, hung it off of George's full length frame pump, and then stood on a railing suspending it above the riders as they raced through, would have been like a big flag in shot every lap :D .

George was already thinking that he could commute to work on the penny farthing ...

George contemplates the advantages of matching handlebars and whiskers.

IKB: "You'll be wanting of these, young man. And don't forget the spats."
