Remember the good old days when people made stuff that worked properly.

Took mine into Condor on the way home from work. They seemed a bit vague until they checked the notice about it by the front door  . Anyway, they tell me all will be sorted in7-10 days.

Interestingly, I couldn't find anything on the Look web-site about this - just a load of pictures of French cyclists flaunting their bronze  medals.

In the meantime, it's Chorus Pro-Fits for me. Checked the box in the garage - left pedal there, right pedal there, one cleat, doh!

Phoned GB yeasterday. They say they should get replacement axles in "about 23 September". Some "urgent recall"! Anyway, I'm not strong enough to break any bike parts (except chains, eh, Marky Mark :x )

Sorted. OK, so a Condor 7-10 days is actually a month, but that's quite good against my own rule of thumb for DIY. This involves estimating how long a job will take, doubling it and moving up one unit of measurement. So, a 10-minute job takes 20 hours, a 2-day job takes a month (or 4 weeks) and as for a six month project ...

Sean, I hope you checked out the bargain baskets at Condor and helped yourself to three pairs of white socks for a tenner :D .
