Addiscombe Tee

Much as I think our club strapline is great, somehow I don't think it's appropriate on the racing circuit. You are not meant to be agreeable when you are covered in snot and sweat and swearing at the donuts whilst you are racing.

Any anyhow, I don't think you can get those black t-shirts anymore with 'The Agreeables' writ large across them in yellow. The one's I've seen all look a bit old and knackered. And have an impossibly long http//www/website address along the back that no-one could ever remember.

But I do want something to wear after races.

So, my idea so far is to go black tee, yellow writing, so far so normal. Then have Addiscombe Racing on the back and the front. And maybe the really easy SHORT website address somewhere on it.

Any other ideas?

And if others want this sort of thing too, how can we go about getting it sorted out?

I quite like the cut of the T shirt and black fabric but would welcome something a bit more understated - likewise with the wasp-like cycle shirt design - I find it a bit 80/90s and somewhat garish, particularly after my after my pink shirt and Colnago twin piece Are we not due for a new design - maybe with some retro influences and slightly less yellow please? And, while I am at it, and to be totally non-PC, I am not sure that I even like the strap line that much - 'agreeable' seems a bit passive and more lip balm than snot and saliva, but hey, what the hell - never mind the outfit ENJOY THE RIDE

The subject of pre-post race club kit came up some time ago at a committee meeting. I can't remember what the exact outcome was, but if I remember rightly the discussion was around polo-shirts with just the club name & logo on them.

As for getting it sorted, just like anything else in the club, it needs someone with the time and energy to organise it.

Some time ago I started working on a design for a slightly less 'addiscombe' version of the addiscombe club kit - if you like a limited edition version to go alongside the established club kit but with a much more subtle message - retro and along the lines of some of the Campagnolo jerseys

When finalized it's intended to cross over onto polo shirts, Ts etc

Must get round to finishing that - when DO those cows come home...?

All designs will be subject to the usual methods of approval

I'll throw them out over the floor and see if the cats lick them up
then I'll run them up the flagpole and see who salutes them

I wasn't talking about revamping the whole kit, just having a T shirt to wear for after races.
