Well what a difference a day makes. It was a lovely day. The legs felt rubbish when I was warming up but when I got racing they just ached a little but nothing more. Now I don't use a speedo or timer or anything electronic it is all done on feel, when I race. I felt I was flying, faster than yesterday. Got caught for 3 minutes by Julian Jenkinson who did a 52 yesterday and this just over halfway so I wasn't particularly worried. Just kept going, pushing up the drags and put a real big effort in at the end. If I am being honest a thought it was another PB or at least close.
When I saw that Julian Jenkinson had done a 54 I knew my perception of my speed was very wrong. I did a 59.10. I was intially disappointed but if I am honest I really enjoyed the race, more that yesterday, which is the point I suppose.
Lesson learned for me, I am not good at estimating speed/time and only one race a weekend. Think I might start using my stop watch when I race so I am not so disappointed when I get back to the HQ
