Sunday ride 2 Jan 2005

Postby Nick » Thu Dec 30, 2004 4:38 pm

I am planning to go out on sunday for a ride and as to where we go or what type of undulating landscapes we may see, ride upon, over or through I'll leave that to any regulars that may turn up. I am sure Ian and Conor and Maybe Jackie were up for a ride.
The reason I can't plan a route is I only know the CLUB RUN.
So times and suggestions I'll leave to you guys and gals I'll tag along. :D

 Didn't quite make it this morning but certainly up for a ride tomorrow @ 17mph or thereabouts. Meet at Coulsdon or Feathers? Club route sounds good or one of Ian's magical mystery tours!!

I dont mind leading a mystery tour but I can promise it wont be a s hilly as the last one.
There are probably no cafes open so make sure you have a crunchy bar handy!
Joanna is up for it as well
I dont really feel the need to start too early and would be looking to leave the feathers at around 10 ish- expect to ride a couple of hours but if any one needs to stop or slow down we can oblige.
Please register your intent.

Happy new year to all

Looking good ... Please take this as intent for registration for 2 at The Feathers at 10. As we are not stopping I shall ask Lisa to provide a small hamper for us all! Croissants and Champers anyone?

Fingers crossed for the weather as it has been p*ssing it down all afternoon!

See you all tomorrow ...

I'm on for a ride tomorrow (providing I'm feeling OK as feel the on-coming of a jippy tummy at the mo :x ). If not, hopefully I'll be ok for a ride on Monday.

Really enjoyed Thursdays ride by the way - even though I ran out of steam along the way. It was certainly a challenging route and pace and made a good change to the club run.

Will try and force Ben out as well as I reckon he could do with the excercise!

Hopefully see you at the Feathers at 10am tomorrow!

Cheers,

Jackie

Hopefully I`ll be out, weather permitting. If not I`ll be spending a torturous hour on the turbo again.
Meet you all at Feathers at 10.

Cheers

10 riders out today for a bright blustery ride, at times it seemed if Nick and I were being blown backwards-and we are not in the light category- both of us are in the 82+ kg.
It would be an alternative route to the cafe should anyone want to make it so- approx 1hr 45 to the cafe-or longer if the dual carraigeway was used- only a little more hillier than the normal club route- quiet roads-and some nice flat roads suitable for thru and off.
Nice ride with nice people- good to see 3 ladies out today :P - 4 including myself 8)
