Anyone up for a shorter ride?

I wonder if anyone has thought of a shorter club run. I'm thinking of a route that would avoid that nasty junction on the A23 namely start at css and then up the A23 to the Starbucks before said junction, stop there for cake and then ride back after an hour or two reading the papers, what do you say

I'll be riding up from Horley, so I'll wait at Starbucks for the rest of you to ride down from CSS.

I think that means the CR is reduced to coffee and a cake for me?
