Here's some stats for you !!

If you had purchased £1000 of Northern Rock shares one year ago it would now be worth £4.95,

with HBOS, earlier this week your £1000 would have been worth £16.50

£1000 invested in XL Leisure would now be worth less than £5,

but if you bought £1000 worth of Tenants Lager one year ago, drank it all, then took the empty cans to an aluminum re-cycling plant, you would get £214.

So based on the above statistics the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and re-cycle.

And if you'd spent £1000 a bicycle, you'd still have it to ride around on. Therefore, clearly the best way to invest your money is on a bicycle. In fact, with the skills and brains in the ACC, can we not establish a market in collateralised bicycle derivative instruments? Their future value is likely to be impacted depending on the price of petrol, the weather, the level of success at the Olympics, the number of people on the ACC clubruns etc. We could have different instruments depending upon where the bicycles were sourced. If backed by GB Cycles, we could give them a AAA rating. However, if handbuilt by Stu What's that bit for? Chamberlaine, I think we'd have to go with a junk rating.

A simple depreciation index can be found with Sage and some add-on. I cant remember the name buts it on all the computers at home, except this blasted iMac which hates me.

I doubt that Sylv, don't think I could rip the legs off a jelly baby right now such is my pathetic lack of strength. If I do turn up at CSS at least its the 1st sat of the month and there'll be a just for fun run to keep me company while I cough and wheeze my way to the cafe.
