New and looking for a club

Postby Jojo » Fri Oct 03, 2008 9:27 pm

Hi Agreeables.
Ive heard a lot about your club and have seen you out on the road. I am interested in joining your club and meeting like minded cyclist. I am a social road rider and enjoy sportives, and socail rides abroad etc. If I were to join your club, what does that entail and how are members made aware of events and social stuff. Hope to hear from someone soon. Cheers Jo

I feel certain others will reply, but just come along and try us out - every Saturday the club ride kicks off from Coulsdon South Station soon after 9.10. There are arranged activities but mainly we thrive on an inventive membership who suggest and host new and recurrent events and create a warm welcome to participants. The club has a diverse membership and not too few characters. The social side is good and mostly advertised via the forum, There is an annual D&D and prize giving and some talks and informal gatherings around glasses of carbohydrate refreshment. Racing of all kinds comes as a bonus but not all want to participate in the competition and that is OK as well. There is a diverse and friendly membership and a willingness to help out if you have problems. All for £20 a year - no brainer or what?

Hi. I'm pretty sure if you don't race it's not even £20. I think social membership is 12 quid. but don't worry about that now - just get down to coulsdon south and ride!!! :D
