OK - Just checked my personal email. Amongst the rather large number of unread spam there is an email from the Bec CC orgniser. The BIG prizes remain this year for the Bec CC event.
See below.
Entries so far for this the 53rd Annual edition of our event are arriving well ahead of the normal schedule, with Team Corley Cycles being the first team/club entry (Min 3 riders) to be nailing their colours to the mast in chasing the team/club award. Welcome lads, I hope you enjoy your first experience of a Bec C C event.
Please note, our event has been moved a week earlier than in previous years so as not to clash with the Half Term Holidays, as has the Catford C C Hill Climb. Both of these events will retain their historical position of Catford in the morning & Bec in the afternoon for those who wish to try and take the crown of 'doing the double'.
Also the two Brighton Mitre C C Events, have moved correspondingly to the same weekend, so theres an opportunity for someone to be the first rider ever to win all four events and really be the 'top dog' of the hills.
So there you have it, 4 chances to pit your skills against gravity on the weekend of 11th & 12th October
Further details of all 4 Hill Climbs can be found on the CTT website, or in the CTT Handbook
Entries for the Bec C C Event will close 6.00pm, Fri October 3rd and should be sent to myself at: 5 Archer Road, London SE25 4JN

Once again, those very nice people at Tandrige District Council have granted us the enviable status of a closed road for the duration of the event. Without this assistance I doubt the event would have been able to continue and enjoy the status it now has, given current traffic flow in the area.
So for that we at the Bec are very very grateful to Trish Bloxham and her colleagues.

Prize list for the Bec C C Event will remain as the previous couple of years, but this might have to be the last year of fairly substantial prize money unless I can find a sponsor for the event. But I can assure you the event will continue for several years yet. And hopefully retain its unique position of attracting probably the most noisey & enthusiastic spectators and a class field of athletes regardless of the prize fund....
