Crystal Palace Circuit Race

Good afternoon all,

Addiscombe are promoting a criterium race at Crystal Palace early in May. No definite date as yet but it?ll probably be on the evening of Tuesday 10th .

We need 20 people to help with organisation and marshalling duties, so please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to help.

As marshalling goes, this is one of the easier places to do it, as there are no irate car/van/lorry drivers to deal with and, for most, it?s quite local. However, there?s usually a high number of dog walkers, joggers, Kevin Spacey?s ambling around, so the circuit does need to be made as safe and secure as possible.

I have replied via your Email address but thought if I also post here some others may also join in. I have suggested that as I have never marshalled before prehaps you can orgainise something at the club on a WEDNESDAY night as to what is expected of us.
This may be putting off other MEMBERS who have never marshalled and would be a step in the right direction.

Mister Dave - I'd be up for lending a hand. I like to help out at least once a year and I have a reasonable record of staying awake (well about 50:50 actually!!). As this is a criterium race - my appalling sense of humour can't prevent me from asking - what are the criteria for marshalling such an event.
