I'm not one of the most organised of people either Toks so I formed a cunning plan this season. Once I have the handbook I go through it and sort out all the races I may do and stick 'em on a spreadsheet. I add a column for "Entry Due" and stick in a date 2 weeks before the race date, some may have specific dates so I put that in, and although you can enter a bit later than 2 weeks before I find that keeps things nice and simple.

Then I just print it out and stick it somewhere prominent, no not there, on the fridge or similar. I also run down the print and stick all the entry due dates and race dates in the calendar on Outlook so I get a reminder jump up on that. It may sound a bit of a faff but I did about 25 Opens this season and for a couple of hours work it makes life so much easier. Nothing is set in stone and it got added to, and the odd one dropped off during the course of the season but it definitely worked well.

You want to enter each one in turn as they are approaching as it helps the organiser greatly if they don't have to keep hold of your form for months before the race, and also stops you having to keep phoning the organiser to tell them of improved PBs so they can adjust the seeding (if you phoned them in time) or your handicap if there is a prize for that.

Me too!
On a recent training ride around Regents Park this girl jumped on the back of our 4 man chain gang which featured Mareks mate and ex ACC strongman Max. We were cruising at around 23mph and she kept jumping ahead of us. Immediately I intorduced myself and suggested she come down and join the Agreeables :D :D . Unfortunately she's already with a club - Eagle Road CC. So there you go Michelle I tried to get you a new mate (sorry Keith  ). Anyway her name is Liz Chittenden and she'll be doing some of the Hog Hill races. If she gets going Michelle hook up with her cause she is pretty stong but may not be too race savvy.

I was speaking to an ex elite duathlete tonight who said he might start coming out with the CR with his wife an ex elite ironman/woman. Apparently the last ironman she did, she did a sub 3 hour marathon off the back of a 112mile cycle. The guy (Wayne) regularly rides up box hill and said his PB from the turning to the car park is 5:15.

Most likely cause is your rubbish nutrional strategy. How many times did you bonk during training and racing? Every time you do this, you are vunerable to infections.

I remember borrowing one of your drinks bottle when I forgot mine and all it contained was orange squash.

When Tok's decides to come down, both of them can do it together on a tandem.

Not done lactate testing for cyclists on a tandem...Would be interesting.
