New Bike(?), Good Club Run, Club Emails + Feedback

Postby Gavin » Sat Jan 15, 2005 7:55 pm

3 things here.

1) Looking to get a mountain bike. I have seen the specialised hardrock pro disc for £500 it comes with Marzocchi MZ Comp forks which are suppost to be quite good for bikes at this price (?). Anyway does anyone know if this is wise choice. Or is £500 better spend elsewhere.

2) Club Run - Good one today went out with the 15mph group and we cruised along to the cafe. Went back via box hill and then through some very posh housing estate to chipstead and back on to the A23. Very good ride and I certainly am quite tired now.

3) Club Emails + Feedback - I have noticed there has been a reduction in the emails coming from the club. I know that Marco did not want to continue with this. I would have volunteered but did not think I was an active enough member. Does anyone know what is happening with this?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I am off to virtual alpe d'huez tomorrow with my new real life video ..............

Cheers

G

ive got a new bianchi 2005 mountain bike.used a few times, in absolutely perfect condition.
got ambrosio wheels, good forks, xt parts mixed with deore parts.
supposedly the frame is the same as the frame used on the £1000 bianchis, just not as good components.
also has lock out
michelin tyres
selle italia seat and a LOT lighter than those specialized!
cost £600, would sell for £550, if you were interested id speak to my dad about it.
i only bought it to ride the university club, but theres a lack of interest.

let me know what you think

i was wondering what the distance was - my speedo packed up - made it only 60 including 20 to/from west norwood, thought was a litlle low
