Airnimal Joey stolen

Postby Ivor » Thu Oct 09, 2008 11:44 am

If anyone sees it... my Airnimal Joey was stolen from my garage.
Easy to identify.... it's the only airnimal joey with Ultegra rear mech and an SRAM trigger shifter.

Frame blue, white Selle Italia saddle.

Bad luck :( . Hopefully it'll get spotted somewhere as they aren't that common.

yeah. furious since it's usually kept in the house, but I'd moved it into the garage while doing DIY. :x

Keep checking Ebay and if you can its worth getting down to Brick lane Market (East London on a sunday morning). I've known two peeps get their bikes recovered there and someone in our local chain gang got his recovered from E bay recently. Good luck mate :(

In practical terms how do you actually do this? Like Vincent in Collateral?: "Yo homie, that my bike?" is cool but needs a plan B.

Go in heavy with a couple of beefy mates as back up, or just pay a couple of hundred quid to some scumbag to get your own bike back? Just interested in case I ever find myself in that unfortunate situation. At 10 stone and with my accent I can't see some East end geezer handing anything over to me on strength of personality and a hard Paddington stare.

Yes I saw it on gumtree twice. Can't seem to find the first one I saw, but the number to call was 07947535503. That particular one had mudguards attached.

This is the other one:

I was interested in buying one myself, therefore came across these. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the links. I've given up trying to find mine for now. The first one there is just a stock photo off the airnimal site so hard to check. Ad looks dodgy though. The picture in the second is definitely not it though.

Anyway I managed to get a good second hand one from an honest seller and I just need to pimp it up now.

Although in other news during the search I did manage to catch a bike thief, get the bike back to its owner and get the thief nicked!! wahay!

Ivor.
