Where do they set off from? I too am bored with the CR route, despite getting lost yesterday, and always keen to try anything new. Am off to Cardiff in a couple of weeks and shall join up with Cardiff Jif, who do half the Dragon route as their CR. Bloody madmen I tell you.

To further the point, Amy has been trying some excellent routes and just needs support and marketing to get these as a regular addition to the menu.

Also Mr Higg has been experimenting with an off road variant of the club run. Second outing this week with Maria on a Cross bike and Marky Mark trying the route down and returning on-road with the 16 mph group. I think that this is exciting and has real potential as we can bring on a whole new subsidiary of cycling, I await Marky Mark's view of the run.

Marky Marks view of the off road is pretty much not far off what I wrote in the OFF-ROAD write up.

It was a real eye opener to a totally different style of riding. When Aodan (Got thee spilling corroct thes tyme) shouts a warning of "Hole" you know it's not going to be just a crack in the tarmac or a sunken manhole cover! Even on the road run returning home, somebody shouted "hole", Aodan just said "That's not a hole" in the style of an Irish Crocodile Dundee... Quality.

I'm not sure if my bike is ready for another off-roader just yet. For some weird reason the chain keeps finding itself on the outside of the derailer (outside the cage of the lower jockey wheel), it has even cut 2 grooves in it, damn that chain.
