winter track days

Now that winter is drawing in and HH will be unavailable 'till next spring is anyone thinking of or interested in some sessions at the 'local' indoor tracks over the winter? I know Sylv mentioned something about them? Mike organised a nice one in Jan this year at calshot, we could try there or newport? Given the current popularity of track I would guess we'd need to book early?

I think Mark L is looking at the possibility of Newport, joint trip with DeLaune or someone to split the costs.

SWRC is the club - they do weekend trips to Newport (on track sat and sun - stay over saturday night)

I think Mark is following this up - I have a contact if not

yea, a nice dry but coldish day, another big crowd but few willing to go in the fast races, they were almost like VCL club runs.

I would be interested, but in 2008 as will be away at the beginning of 2009, Think Steve B and Marek may be interested as well. Calshott is a gas as it is an 11 second circuit and I can probably identify the contact for doing a training session, also it is a multi-activity centre so if other family mebers want to do climbing and skiing or snowboarding that is also available

I have never been on the track, but a few people I have spoken to recently have indicated that the lack of hills may act in my favour.

If someone comes up with a date let me know and I will run it past the War Office.

Cheers

Marek....
