I don'r know but there's a nice Pinarello in Butlers for £8,000.00 :mrgreen:

i saw that bike too sylv.

i spent about 10 minutes just staring at it and looking sorry for myself, hoping someone might take pity and buy it for me :lol:

They are quite welll known on the mountainbike world. This is their "own brand" of bikes, made in the same Taiwanese factory as approximately 1/2 of the well known brads' hardtails. Known to be very good value for money, if rather unspectacular bikes. They often have special offers of their frames equiped with "runout" groupsets - ie the end of their stock of a particular groupset, usually at about this time of year.

If you want something a little more "boutique" but still good value, look at their (steel) Rock Lobster frames.

You can go far wrong at that price. If you added up the price of the components you're probably getting the frame for free. If you get restless after a year or so (I know I do) then it's relatively easy to swop everything to a different frame.

I did have a merlin steel (zona) frame from them a few years ago, which was quite good just a bit short and steep for me so changed it.
