Hey Ian, it was not a quick ride we were very restrained. Paul in regards to your question on what are good hills, well if you cycle over to Cranleigh and then just before you get to the town centre turn right towards Shere. There is a superb climb which starts off steady and ends on a nice 21% slope.
Also another good one is if you go down Leigh Hill towards Ockley and then turn right at the bottom, then go along about a mile down the road take the right turn and then about 100 yards up is Tanshurst Lane. This has a challenging hill. About 16-18% and the road always has running water down the middle of it and lots and lots of pot holes to contend with.
