Where do you buy your tyres?

Postby Andrew G » Wed Nov 12, 2008 11:42 am

I'm after some new Conti 4 Seasons after I collected a screw this morning which has torn my tyre. I actually had to unscrew the thing from the tyre with my multi-tool it had shoved itself in so hard.

Anyhoo if anyone has a good source for tyres at attractive prices please let me know. I'm working my way through all the ones I can think of but bound to miss some, or not know about them. JE James has had the best price so far but only has 1 in stock and I want to order a pair from the same place.

Cheers.

See what a good boy I was, I refrained from going off on a screw and rubber thread that could have lasted for ages  .

Want the Contis, tried bicyclerubber but like Wiggle they're a bit steep at the mo.

Hurray a sensible person at long last. Use them quite a bit but again they're a bit more expensive at the mo.

Leave Andy's udders alone Mark, I want the Conti 4Seasons.

It's only Wednesday, God knows what you lot will be like by Friday, and I thought I was bad.

For those of you who care the best I found was at http://www.dotbike.com/. Got a few things from them in the past and they provide very good service. Order before 3pm and sent out the same day, free delivery on UK orders.

Parker international have been good. Try chainreactioncycles also. But my last set of Conti 4000S i got off a bike shop on ebay.

Talking of which, if anyone's interested I'm flogging 5 mint condition british newspapers on that electronic flea market celebrating the new dawn breaking across the pond. Me and 2,500 others apparently. But you saw it here first

Parker International are slightly cheaper at £26.95

http://www.parker-international.co.uk/9 ... -Tyre.html

And although they have appaling customer service and I hesitate to recommend them Ribble's price is £24.25

http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/productde ... ONTTYRF400

I'd go with Parker - they're a great shop! I bought my last batch of Assos kit from them and they even sent me a free Rouleur magazine :D

Knew I forgot somewhere in my searching Sean, mind you they'd probably have been the same price with postage.
