Indeed. I'm no fan of war meself, and we have a 2 minute silence at 11am on 11/11 which I choose to respect.
I have visited Vimy Ridge several times [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vimy_Ridge[/url] site of some brutal fighting. Part of the trenches remain. Well worth a visit, and the memorial to the 66,000 Canadian war dead is one of the most humbling and tear jerking things I've ever had the privilege to see first hand. It is awesome, so so sad. When ever I go there it's pi55ing down, seems so apt.

The lady in the statue is Mother Canada, grieving. I'm in tears sitting here just thinking about it again, I must get back for another visit soon.
