What I saw today on my training ride at lunchtime…

One herd of roe deer, two with antlers
Two toffee-coloured long-horned cows
One toffee-coloured no-horned calf, suckling
One cart horse.
Two donkeys.
One stoat.
One hawk.
One cyclist.
One very wintry looking sky, washed out and pale, with dove grey clouds and with an egg-shell blue horizon
Three hundred and forty seven thousand, five hundred and thirteen dead leaves.
And a parrot on a telegraph wire.

its bizarre how the mind wanders on these low intensity rides.

Oh, I didn't think it was called ballast, I thought it was called something else.

It's the odd bits of cable hanging off with no current use that made me laugh last Saturday.

Doubtless you are getting stronger and stronger Paul, it doesn't belie the fact that your bike has a lot of.....err....ballast on it
