[quote="-Adam-"][quote="Daniel Gee"]British Airways, British Cycling it's all one(1) big cabal innit.
As far as I'm concerned Road Racing the pinnacle & all the rest is just a side-show.
plus I'm a bit put off by all the mad nationalism&narrow focus of british cycling as an organisation, its all a bit weird & franlky iffy
Mark Cavendish's the most succedsful&promising (male) british rider in yonks.
Chapeau & all that.
That sums up quite a few peoples opinions on BC that I know of.
Is it not about time that BC spent a bit more on developing road riders rather than go for the glory every 4 years?
And this British Cycling Sky team is not neccesarily the right way to go about it...
I think the trouble is that BC's funding is largely dependent on "success". At the moment, the measure of "success" is Olympic medals. There are more medals available on the track than in all the other cycling disciplines combined (ie road (2), TT (2), mountainbike (2) and BMX (2)) so that is where they concentrate. This brings me back to my old gripe - "What do BC do for the grass roots cyclist?"
