Awesome George! you've beaten serious contenders. Would you say that's your best race yet? I know you've had a win and some brilliant results already, but I've been waiting to see you beat some of the real favourites from the league, and now you've done it .. .and with a puncture. Well well done

Looking at the rankings posted after round 9 of 15 (best 9 to count)

I would say there are not many riders who could beat George to top spot

His average is 80.89 points with 9 races, and that includes the first races when he was only getting used to off-road

Matt Holmes has 96 but has only done 4 races now, with 5 to go, and he'll probably be riding some national events instead

Gary Record 80.86 with 7 races, one to watch (I'm sure you know this George :) )

Stuart Jones 89.33 with six races - maybe the strongest contender

Chris Ansell
only 5 races with 95.6 will probably not do 9 rounds

John Lyons 81.5 with 6 races

LOOKING GOOD!

Fantastic result George, when I saw the weather I could just imagine you grinning and rubbing your hands together  .

Carole - I see you had a nipper out there too, was it him who nagged you or you that nagged him? :D .

Excellent work George. :D :D You were getting bigged up by Russell on the London Dynamo Forum

What a weekend, the threats of snow, kept away the normal, posy, Jason, Claire. This was my first cross race this session was not sure what I would be like but, I really like Penshurst. The course suits me technical and hilly. The start was going to be tough as I was not gridded. But I made sure I was there early so that I was placed on the second row, As always the start is so important, I had a pretty good one maybe 4th coming down the fast hill. There so much spray and mud that I'm still picking sand out of my eyes today. There was 2 places I could'nt ride, but seeing Matt Holmes ride them I had go, no luck and I had to run, great ride by 'George Brent' looks like he could be trouble 2nd cat rider from Addiscombe. I was having my own problems getting quite a lot of chain suck. Which was not helping me. Matt Seaton was ahead of me most of the race, and I thought I would not catch him, but next thing I know I'm right on top of him. he was slower in the techinical stuff, but kept catching me up the long slogging hill, he made a mistake so I attacked him. I love cross racing I don't know why more of the members give a try. Round ten of the Mosquito Bikes London Cross League was held at Penshurst OffRoad Club and hosted by Addiscombe CC on November 23.

I though that was our forum for a while there I couldn't log in.

Its nice to be back in on the conversation again.

Yes Toks how did you get to loginto the Dynamo forum?, when I tried to register they denied me, can't think why

Sylv i's looking pretty good for the championship at the moment, I just need to gea few more podium points and get rid of those first few dodgy rounds then I'm there :D

I was pretty pleased with my race yesterday, I always thought Matt Holmes was streets ahead of me but when I passed him, I kept thinking to myself no it must be his teammate or someone else

I've got to do something about my wheels as I thats my third puncture in 10 races, maybe I could double tube the wheels, or maybe I should sort myself out with a spare bike to just jump onto :?

Thanks for Jon Hemming handing me up a drink every other lap it really helped!

mmm strange one, I just registered. try again with a different user name. Even though i know a few of them they are a bit wary coz of all the flak they tend to get on veloriders and bikeradar. Numbers wise they are the largest London club but you wouldn't know that from their forum. Those Dulwich Paragons are also growing I see - up to 100 members. I just hope that Maria David person doesn't forget us Agreeable racers in the summer  :D
