Riding next weekend - 6/7 December

Postby Amy » Sun Nov 30, 2008 10:43 pm

I'm hoping to get out next weekend on a longer ride, preferably on the Sunday and ride down to Balcombe and back (roughly on my reversed Brighton route). Does anyone want to join me?

It will be at my speed which at the moment is slow - 15-16mph if I'm lucky - but steady round some lovely lanes. If Saturday is more convenient, we can go on from Charlwood and I'll just do a shorter ride Sunday morning...

Short of it chucking it down, I should be out anyway - I need the miles

Forgot to say - please let me know if you're interested and whether you prefer Saturday as an extension of the club run or a Sunday ride (there are cafes in Balcombe that may be open or Tully's Farm on the way back (may be a bit of a diversion).

Either pm me or post here, ta

Don't all rush at once :)

Just to confirm that I now intend to do the club run as normal and then ride back to Sutton and then do the ride to Balcombe and back on Sunday as it's in the middle of a couple of light cycling weeks for me (family duties  )

I would, but I'm committed to the Mountainbike ride that day.

Thanks for the interest, Graham - it's always the case, people have always got something else on or can't make it that day but can do next week :(

Come on, this is not going to be a tear your legs off session like most rides outside the club run with all the fast boys on it. It's over some pretty lanes and I'll be taking it steady and I'll wait and probably be waited for

Oi.. Nothing soft about the Pyrenees troop…

Ian was king of the mountain.. and in prep for next years season, i believe he is only required to do warm weather training for peak performance and of course wouldn’t want to show us all up.. hey Ian?

see you all tomorrow

Sorry Amy, mountain biking on Sunday. I hope you get some company - nice lanes and a good winter spin.
