I eel for you - sounds the same as the time I had my bad encounter with a motorbike and smashed my leg (broken in 5 places

). I spent some time watching daytime TV, then wrapped up all the Xmas presents for all the family etc - 105 in total - so sad that I counted each one!!.
The trouble was to get upstairs, had to sit on them and bun up and down - a bugger rushing for the toilet
I got so frustrated that I couldn't weight-bear at all, that I hired a wheelchair to get out and about (I didn't qualify for an NHS one

) and that was really really really hard work. I used to get round to see my Mum and Dad, and occasionally into Croydon - but couldn't get on the buses, and some of the kerbs weren't lowered then.
Then I was able to walk with crutches which again was tyring, but easier getting about than a chair.
Finally back on the bike after 6 weeks. 800m at 10mph was far enough to start with

Gradually built up distance and speed, but leg was still painful all season. Eventually rode the ECCA 12 in August - and completed a PB!!!!!! so the enforced rest did me good.
