Well done George, great result !

Looking at the women's results, all the women there apart from 2nd, 3rd and 4th raced in the 2008 season and are solid riders. The Dynamo girls ride in Richmond Park on Saturday mornings (Rebecca and I think the other two were there yesterday morning) so the trip to Hog Hill is probably being treated more like an extension of the training ride than the actual race. Judging by the results and where Jen and Rebecca finished (or didn't, as the case may be) they can't have been going for it that hard!

[quote]According to the commissionaire George couldn't hava a lap out.

That is correct protocol. Laps out are allowed until 5 to go.

Awesome George -The smiling assassin strikes again. Don't go getting those points to go up to 2nd cat before we've done the early Surrey Leagues - stick to cyclo cross.

I'll take a break from road racing now till the Surrey League then Paul

A great circuit which every Agreeable racer should experience, I especially liked the long winding decent and the first corner where your cranked right over through the dip at full chat, on the edge of the tyres through a puddle on the inside, quite nerve-racking.

I would say that there were far too many punctures on this beautifully smooth asphalt circuit that really shouldn't have occurred, you see the problem is there is just loads of mud and sharp flints everywhere on the track.

They must have a drainage problem because it was a dry day and there was still lots of standing water all over the place, down the fast decent you literally ride through sheeting water streaming across the surface.

Also the soil around the edge of the circuit is very loose mud, it needs a good compacting and when grassed shopuld prevent debris from washing onto the road.

Once they get this sorted and the youg boy in the buggy starts to do his job and pick up a broom rather than tear around the track on the golf cart this will be as good as if not better than Eastway. :D

Just out of interest Paul if George took his lap out on with 6 to go does he go back into his 23 second race lead position?

Well done George!

What! Sylv and George in a 4/3 race???, hope they move back up soon to their level, rather than messing about down here.

What time did you manage to get back at? I'm in the process of fixing my bike so unlikely I'll make it next week (need new bearings for the headset) and going out Saturday night so need to be home earlyish.

Doubt I'll make it this week either.

Time - it took me 1h50 (riding time) but i went a long way, which was about 46km as opposed to 39 the shortest way, and I took it super easy. We left about 30 min after the end of our race (which started late), George gave me a lift to Chiswick (don't ask) and it took just under 1h riding time to get back, so that was about 5h45!

Yes Toks, that is what should happen.
It will be down to the commissaire on the day to interpret that, to determine what his lead was and restart him/her etc etc but should rejoin the race in the same position as when the incident occurred.
