Walking - sunday 28th dec

Hi all,
On the clubrun saturday someone asked if we ever go for walks. Coming back with Marco he mentioned that quite a few members were of over Christmas so I put 2 and 2 together and thought I used to lead a few walks for the central london CTC so does anybody fancy a walk on Sunday 28th December. It would start at Kenley station at 9.45 for a 10.00 sharp departure.It is approx 10 miles, bit hilly to start then undulating. You would have to bring a flask, water,banana and a sandwich for lunch and something to sit on. Anybody could come so bring wives,girlfriends in fact anybody. Let me know. Graham(Cab driver)

I've started using walking as part of training
Fast pace (105+bpm)
Nose-breathe - 10 steps inhale, 10 steps exhale (easier said than done - about 6-7 cycles/min)
Makes it more interesting
Not today though!

could be good this. I do a tidy portable picnic even if I do say so meself .

Can someone post the route pls - 10 miles may be a bit far for a 5 yr old, a bail out point might be useful. Actually, if I have a hissy (see mtb thread) could be useful fer me too

hi is this still on fro the 28th? Would like to come along and bring the family (a 7 and 10 year old,) both children have done walking before, distance is not the problem rather pace maybe, but we did somw walking during the Isle of Wright walking festival and both kept up easily.

Did anyone do this today ?

We turned up about 10 minutes late and with no map had to make do with a circular walk around hyland drive.
