Today's Ride 19/02/2005

Rode with the great PAUL TUNNEL today on the way to the club run this morning.

Went with the "through and off" 17mph group and had a very good ride even though Steve and the YOUNG WHIPPET beat me on the Cafe sprint :? (By about a Bike length between them  ) had done so well for the weeks when you were all away. But held on for the Church hill climb and also rode up with the leading group of the Drag and just got pipped again by Steve again.

The ride was slighlty quicker than the 17mph planned but only by 1mph, we all had a better ride than last week as the wind wasn't as strong and full in your face.

Just love these club runs and yes MONTY I shall move to the 19's on a more permanant basis as I need to try harder. The chat you gave at the station awoke the inner me as to why I started at the club and that was to improve my Riding skills and Speed and by sitting in the 17's it's an easier option and not benifiting me really even though I do sometimes struggle to keep up with 17's.
We must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind us to the fact that each moment of life is a miracle and mystery.
