This is a social...right :( :? :o

Completely. Own pace on hills and all wait for everyone at top, if you're quick and don't want to get cold go back down and ride up the thing again. Mind you it's not what I'd call one of my proper hilly rides, just the odd one for interest, honest you can trust me.

Andrew, many thanks for leading a great ride, although my toes were just about to fall off by the time we got to the pub. A good variation of terrain and nice country lanes to ride in.
Have a great new year all and see you soon.

A nice gentle spin about with a few hills if anyone wanted to test themselves. I think 16 out in total including a couple Carl brought along for their first ride with ACC. Ideally it would have had a few lanes before Slines Oak and after Polhill but safety first. Still mainly on reasonably quiet roads and as they were drier than they could've been I managed to throw an extra 10%er in between Polhill and Shire Lane which I'm sure pleased some.

Unfortuates of the day were Paul coming off when we bunched due to having to brake a bit hard for a turn you never normally have to brake for, and the lady who Carl brought having a touch of wheels on Shire Lane - I gather due to cars leap-frogging along the line as they overtook. I hope it doesn't put her off and she is okay, seemed to be at the time.

3 turned off at Coney Hall to miss the pub while the rest of us arrived at 12.31, not bad with my ETA quoted of 12.30 8) . Met my Mum and Dad there and then PVT arrived about half an hour later from work, and we all tucked in to some good food and beer in nice toasty warm surroundings.

2 mile roll downhill to get home for me :D .

A good social one.

I think this has most people in it at as we arrived at The White Bear

Yeah couldn't they have moved the lorry this is the Addiscombe club photo.

Think it is actually Brakes Bros the van has on it, as in the catering supplies people, but again something highly desirable on a hilly club run.

Well Done all for making it round! Would have liked to come myself but there is a certain attendance bonus at work I'm aiming for.

C u on Saturday for the true hilly 50 warm up event; ahead of the ride on 14th February this year! Should be a good'un!! :P

Good to have some Agreeable company after my solo to work and then to the White Bear.

Had time to warm up, and get some food in, before going out into the cold again and facing the ride back to work

After some charging off up through Selsdon (thanks Paul!!) it was fast down to the A23 and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Our group gradually reduced in size, and once again solo after Purley.

When I got back, the ofice was deserted - apparently management had been gracious enough to let everyone go early - at least it saved me getting changed into normal clothes and then back again.

Thanks for the ride.

Happy new Year to all.
