Road racers' meeting for 2009 season?

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Norwood Paragon is just a cycling club Paul, yet they kick Addiscombe ass in every race.

My point was having talked the talk this time last year, I hardly saw an ACC jersey after April...

Where do think I'm getting the results from? I'm the club's time trial secretary! And you didn't ride the interclub in 2006.

Every Race? A quick search suggests that's not the case:

March 16, 2008 - Kingston Wheelers - Dunsfold - 2/3
9 Paul Hone Addiscombe CC 2V 31

11 Stuart Chamberlayne Addiscombe CC 2J 28 @ 7:34
44 David Kennett Norwood Paragon CC 2V 23

11th Paul Hone Adiscombe CC
12th Andy Waterman Norwood Paragon

You have to bare in mind most of us have other stuff to do and are not interested in entering 60 races a year or accumilating as many points as we can in whatever manner.

My plan for 2008 went as expected i.e. enter a few races in the early season and be competetive.

Norwood Paragon is a better club for a road racer. You only have to look at their website where they describe themselves as a "cycle racing club". If I was serious about racing, I would join Norwood Paragon.
