Road racers' meeting for 2009 season?

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Bloody wheelsucker eh Mr.K :D .

As Results Sec I should probably join in the fun here :D .

Apart from other commitments/preparation for other events/recovery from them (Marek, Keith, Michelle - Marmotte, Sylv - 12hr, George TTing incl.12hr, Paul Duathlons including 4th in the World Age Group Champs, and probably others I've forgotten), not everyone can win or compete up the front of the field and without us who the hell would you have in your races  . There were plenty of ACC at Palace nearly every Tuesday and although we can't all mix it up the front there were some good results.

People have to start racing at some point too. From memory some of those that dipped a toe last year were: Michelle, Chloe, Rob C, Ant, Lockey, Jonathon B, Phil L, and Mike W. Whether they all continue or not time will tell but you have to make a start and plenty did.

Having a look back through my notes here is a run down of those that I was aware of from May onwards (as that's when all the Addiscombe jerseys disappeared  ) - Palace only give top 10 placings so the results don't reflect the number of participants.

Flippin 'eck! Come on the ACC, we done well, innit!

I was in a Hog Hill race on 6th September where I came in 10th - London Criterium Challenge. I think that is the only one of mine you have missed. Impressive record keeping if I may say so, Mr

Any reason you left out the Norwood Paragon placings from those results Andrew?

Yes Adam, I do the results for Addiscombe CC not Norwood Paragon  .

I know most of what you said was probably tongue in cheek, just thought it was worth noting that there were actually quite a lot of Addiscombe road racing in one form or another, at one level or another during the whole season last year. Also just commenting that we can't all win races but I don't think that necessarily devalues our contributions. If the only people who lined up were those with a good chance of a top placing you'd have damn small fields and sh1t races, worth remembering that as well in amongst the who's got the biggest / pee the highest bragging.

Absolutely, the more people racing the better. All I'm saying is, for all the talk, ACC struggles to get the results that they should be getting...

Yes, I think that is fine for me. Thanks for sorting, do you want us to bring anything, like cakes and biscuits, considering your place seems to be bare of tasty delights. :D

Cheers
