I have to admit that I have never known my water bottle to freeze almost completely solid in all my years of cycling

but otherwise it didn't seem to bad once I got going - we've just had so many mild winters recently, were no longer used to dealing with such temperatures!

Very pretty Snoop. You get some 'ard spiders around your area if they build their webs from barbed wire.

I nearly lost my brass monkeys on the way down, boy it was cold

But what an amazing site it was. The fields, trees, bushes, hedges, grass, everything was totally coverded in a hard frost. Never seen anything like that before :D

Great photo's Snoop, Went for a ride up to Chipstead and back and it was like it had snowed so frosty was it. Did not envy those who went out earlier in the day as was cold enough at 2-3 o'clock!!!!
Well Done everyone who made it out today!!!

It was a really cold ride down I would get slightly warm on the climbs and then almost instantly as we started to decent drop back to sub zero, numb hands. I had on warm gear too, more than I have ever worn on a club run. Going with the 18 was like riding on christmas day with all the white fields and trees and pleasant conversation (what my numb face could manage). I had ice on my eye lashes and a slush puppy in my water bottle when we arrived at the cafe!!

The way back with Paul H, Sylv, Stu, Ben and Simon was a bit quicker over box hill so I stayed warm holing on to wheels, it seemed pleasently roasting in Croydon by the time we got back.

Great stuff.
