Sunday 8 February 2009

Gil Jessop Memorial Sporting "14" promoted by Kingston Wheelers Cycle Club - Sunday 8th February 8.30 a.m.

Kingston Wheelers cycle club are expecting another good turn out for their annual sporting Time Trial despite the recent cold spell. Last year saw over 60 riders show off their early season form. Triathletes wanting to try their hand against the Time Trial specialists will have ample opportunity and we are expecting another good field of women to make this event a great start to the season. The event HQ is at the Scout Hut in Rose Lane, Ripley close to the start at Hungry Hill. Entries (£7 payable to Kingston Wheelers CC) should go to the organiser Peter Anderson, 28 Wolsey Road, Hampton Hill, TW12 1QW. Closing date Friday 30th January. Be interesting to see how Pete Tadros goes too. Didn't spot him much last year (although that may have been my poor spotting) but he was awesome in the early season sportings the year before. There's absolutely nothing of him but he went like a motorbike.

You obviously didn't ask very nicely eh?

Heard some news:

[quote]A pothole the size of the grand canyon has appeared between the descent from Hungry Hill and Send - its sufficiently bad and on the line to need some sort of warning.

Shall I pick you up @ The Feathers?? What time?
