SCCU Road race promoter passed away

Some of you may have known Dirc Khan Evans. He promoted the SCCU road race in 2007 and 2008.

It is with great regret that I have to tell you that Dirc died unexpectedly just after Christams.

Dirc had been very ill, with cancer, but nobody expected the end to come so quickly.

Dirc leaves his wife Freya and a very young boy Luca.

Dirc's funeral is on 23rd January at 10.15 at Leatherhead Crematorium.

The family have requested donations to the Royal Marsden Hospital, rather than flowers.

That is sad news, Paul.

I raced the SCCU RR last July and despite an unfortunate crash it was generally a good promotion.

I hope his family find solace at this difficult time, and that the SCCU continue to promote road racing in his memory.
