I've put a post on this in the racing section. Hope people won't mind me posting here too, to increase the chance of currently non-racing members seeing it. :)

Well, there wasn't much to tell! Despite following all advice about getting near the front and pedalling down hill to get up the other side, I still found myself spat out the back on the first lap. I caught up to the back of the group on the straight, only to be dropped off on the hill again. I did another lap on my own, meaning to call it a day, but when I stopped I was told by Dad and Glyn that wasn't permitted and I had to wait for the group to come round again and ride with them for training purposes.

I never really managed to hold on again, but one of the lovely helpers, Jo, rode with me giving encouragement all the way round and I caught up with a couple of straggling men for a bit and had a sprint for the line with another woman who had dropped off the group. All in all it was not a bad morning and some good training, but I need to get the hang of that hill this Sunday!
