Women's races at MOD Chertsey

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

[quote="Bridget"]My 'training' is going very well thank you Toks. It consists of riding with the 17s, doing two turbo sessions a week (one of which invariably missed  ) and a core strength building session (also often missed - sorry Snoop  ). This exacting schedule will culminate in a week's training camp in East Sussex the week before the race itself.
Good stuff, I wondered if you could step things up a couple of notches and ride with the 19s for as long as poss before dropping off (once you ran out of puff) and resuming service with the 17s. This worked well for a few people I advised a couple of years ago. Anyways what ever you do enjoy it - its great that we're gonna have you racing for the mighty ACC. Who knows perhaps it'll persuade your Dad to have another bash at Road Racing. As I told him last time he didn't give it long enough  :D

Thanks for the encouragement Toks, am planning to debut as a vet this year. Until now have felt too young!

[quote="thePinkDreamMachine"]Adam are you trying to say that it will take Bridget and I, 4 hours to ride 30miles!!!

Not at all!

In fact I expect you to be all done in about 1:15... If it is really 30miles, I doubt it will be.
