Is the Club Run (and JFF) on or not?

Is the ice going to cause too much damage to a road bike (and rider)?

Pray tell.........

There is still 4 inches of snow in my back garden and some roads around wallington are still un-cycleable, so judging by that I might give the road run a miss. I'll be going out on the MTB CR tomorrow (9am saturday east croydon station) which sounds quite fun.

It's snowing just now down here in Hackbridge, so will definitely stick with my plan for a lie-in. It's been awhile since I didn't turn up for a club run because of the weather

I work near box hill and side roads and lanes are still in a bad way and like some have already mentioned the snow is falling again and cold temps expected. Take care out there folks.

Rats, I feeling bad enough as it is. I nearly got up to come out but then looked at the time  so went back to sleep.

Will now carry on trying to sort out my flat a bit more and catch up with things that need doing, like cleaning  and the ironing and just having a sort out and tidy up :(

Had a weak 'duvet day' feeling this morning  , especially with Old Ports still on (at the mo) for tomorrow, it was a lazy morning /breakfast. Hope all those who are CR'ing take care and stay safe. See y'all next week if not at the Old Ports RR........

Well 2 of us made it to the Cafe via main roads with no problems.

50 miles average 250w - all money in the bank.

Far enough in a foot of snow, on skinny tyres (well until I just couldn't cope any more), and with full panniers, yes. I have extended my journey a tad further than the local Sainsbo's if you don't mind  . More to the point, I've had a load more fun on my bike of late, and that's something I definitely needed.

2 hours on the mountain bike in Tilgate Forest today. Tough going as the tracks are quite waterlogged now and so you have to pedal very hard to get anywhere. Fell off a couple of times as went into a couple of puddles that were a lot deeper than I had expected, the front of the bike stopped and I didn't.

Cheers

Marek....
