Cinelli-Down Under

This from Pez:
VDB Heading Down Under
After the licence problems for Cinelli look like they would keep Frank Vandenbrouke out of the pro peloton for another year, his team director Nico Mattan has announced that the team would merge with Australian registered Team Fuga-Down Under.

Mattan told Sporza that everything was finalized on Friday of last week with the team administration in Australia. Joining the squad that includes Mark Jamieson, Daniel Furmston, Nick Mitchell, Chris D'Ameli and Tom Snape, will be Cinelli recruits Bert Roesems, Jérôme Baugnies, Fabio Polazzi and of course Vandenbrouke.

The addition of the Cinelli riders will mean a better chance of race invitations for the young development squad, however the team's early season program was listed on UK rider Tom Snape's web site (tomsnape.com) and includes Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, G.P. Samyn, 3 Days West Vlaanderen, Dwars Door Vlaanderen and Brabantse Pijl.

I mentioned a few weeks ago about Matt Green riding for Fuga-Down Under, well as you can see there has been a few changes! I found this out the other day, through the grapevine of course, but it's looking more official now. As well has Tom Snape riding for them again this year, there have been some other, slightly more high profile additions to the squad, not least of course a big new sponsor. I'm sure some of you have your views on VDB, but for the younger riders on the squad his inclusion is great news.

So if you can catch K-B-K on Tv anywhere, let me know! And look out for Matt!

Go to http://www.cyclingfans.com for free live web streams of all kinds of races - tours, classics, semi-classics. Best place I know of for it as the feeds tend to be stable and reliable most of the time too.
