Sunday offroad ride

Postby Grahame » Wed Feb 18, 2009 5:54 pm

This Sunday I have a bonus pass.

So, meet at 10am at East Croydon railway station (ECBR), then go out to get muddy and have a load of laughs.

Ride length: until we get fed up or too tired, or it gets dark.
Speed: whatever the group is happy with - nobody will get left behind
Technicality - any offroadworthy bike will be OK - Mountainbike, BMX or Crosser, but you may end up walking a few bits on a crosser.

So who's up for it?

Count me in as a maybe.
If I get up early enough I'll go and cheerlead at the Redhill TT, otherwise I'll come and get muddy.

I'll probably be up for this. It's been far too long since I've been on the MTB.

Sounds like a great ride.

I done it the other way round this weekend, went out on the MTB with the other half on Saturday. Done a nice 20 mile route, Riddlesdown common down to the A22 for a short main road section turning left at Anne Summers (great landmark!) towards Woldinham school grounds, then striaght across at Botley Hill farm taking the first left (Tatsfield?) to some steep hills then found at nice cool beer in the White Bear Pub.

Then turned right out of the pub, 200 yards on the right to a pucker cycle route (hills with warning signs on them) heading for Chelsham. Nice little loop for the other half to do.

Then the long road ride with Amy, Serge, Newbie Claire to Cranleigh on Sunday, 74 miles.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Great weekend of cycling :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
