George,
You could swing by the cafe, have a cup of tea, then back on the course - and still win it

Well I've been and gone and done it. Made pancakes that is. First time for everything made the batter, stuck it in the pan - ballsed up the first one - poor wrist action  but the rest were belters.

Filling - creme fraiche, blueberries and maple syrup.

Nice!

I see no need to look beyond lemon juice and sugar.

Whilst the pancake is warm in the pan, thinly slice (2-3mm) of Mars bar and place in the centre of the pancake, so it melts slightly. Roll it up....... and then a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top.....

Oh dear, a right barrel of laughs you are.... :D

Sean that was a bit harsh, go and stand in the corner and think about the way you treat people. Go on!

I bought Golden Syrup in a squeezy bottle at the weekend. Can't wait until tomorrow.

Oh, and if I've got no eyebrows at pilates on Wednesday, you'll know I've overdone the brandy flambé pancakes.

Oi!

Whats wrong with sugar and lemon?

Although the Mars Bar idea does sound quite tempting!!

Golden syrup and lemon is the favourite in our house, closely followed by maltezers

Bit of a traditionalist with the lemon and sugar too.

Although as a bit of a change and a bit of a face stuffer then stewed fruit and whipped cream is rather tasty.
