It sure is great news, but i'm not so sure about a TdF winner within 5yrs.. Bearing in mind that Contodor it still young, and you have other established names such as Gesink, Gerderman etc who are a few years away from their prime we would need a rider who's around the 19/20yr old mark now and destined for greatness.

I know there's lots of talented guys out there learning their trade at ProTour teams (Ben Swift & Johnny Bellis spring to mind), but that's a big leap to a Grand Tour champion..

Gonna be exciting to watch though :D

So which British rider is going to win the Tour by 2013?

Realistically that would have to be a rider already on the Pro circuit, and with all due respect, I can't see it happening some how. There isn't a Brit that will match Contador or Shcleck in the next 5 years.

Another pay rise for Dave Brailsford then, man that guy has a good life. He does FA, yet gets all the publicity, I don't know how he does it.

Nah, I'll never beat Cav... Boonen, no problem, but Cav is just too fast.

Of course in the post race press conference I will use the old... 'I'm preparing for the classics' excuse.
