Italian Help Required

Postby Marek » Fri Feb 27, 2009 10:09 pm

Hello,

I am looking at going on holiday to somewhere near Ancona in the summer and want to make sure I hook up with a decent Italian cycling club while I am there. Problem is that I speak hardly anything at all in Italian and am therefore having difficulty in surfing the interweb for what I want. Just wondered if we had any Italian speakers that could help me out. If you could just post me a link to somekind of club in Ancona that would be great. I can then try to contact them by email.

Cheers

Marek...

If you don't want to cycle with George's friendly (that's what gay means isn't it :? ) mates then I would try:

- Contact the hotel you're staying at, and the local tourist office, in advance as they may have some details, cycling's second only to football in Italy so they're bound to know one or two.

- Contact the CTC (or try a post on their forum) as they may be able to help, they won't all be pannier carrying cross country mile munchers, and may be able to help out with some useful contacts.

You may also find this useful to print out :D .

Wasn't sure where Ancona was but looking at a map it's not that far down the coast from Riccione/Rimini so the cycling should be superb there, but you may find a few hills. If you get really stuck for info then you could always contact the Riccione Bike Hotel folks and ask if they could point you at somewhere.
